Loved it! Friendly service, delicious pastries, and I love the heritage coffee they brew there! If you are fresh off the cruise ship, stop by this local bakery for a quick cup of coffee and sweet treat!

Excellent food and service

Inability to take correct orders.Rude staff.And manager dodges phone calls.Talking down to you and calling you a liar when you try to confront them about their mistake. I used to love this place but these are the reasons why I won't be returning.

Thai food we had was very good (pad thai, salmon stir fry, and lumpia). Chips were baked fresh (yum)! Service was pretty slow. Prices were quite expensive ($20 for pad Thai). The fish tacos were also $20 for 4! We did get them comped because we were not a fan. Hardly any fish in them, and tortillas were not grilled 😭 was a bummer for wanting really tasty fresh fish tacos in Alaska. Overall, a decent place to eat lunch in a tiny town where everything is extremely quaint... Just don't order the fish tacos 😉 the owner was very nice and helpful in taking the tacos off our bill. Keep it up!

I don't think I can stress how important it is that you try the Pad Thai. Will it change your life? No, it will destroy your life. Nothing will ever again taste as savory, and sweet and spicy and you will forever long to live in Haines so you can enjoy this godly nectar on a regular basis. When I go to Haines, its all I eat. I will literally eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner because you just can't get better anywhere else. Did I mention the staff are absolute sweet hearts?

Stopped there for breakfast. I had heuvos rancheros, a nice change from usual breakfast fare. It was delicious! Although I didn't try any, their selection of baked goods looked great.

Great find. Serves affordable and delicious American food and authentic Thai food! We went in a big group for brunch and had the Thai menu- hot and sour soup and green curry. Both were authentic and delicious. The owner is a great lady, very friendly and talkative! Great baked goods such as cinnamon rolls, donuts and cakes.

The menu was extremely diverse. American, mexican, and a couple different asian varieties. My wife's big breakfast was just that, BIG. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon just right, and some of the best pancakes she or I have had in a very long time. My breakfast burrito thing (I can't remember what it is called) was delicious. It was a mix of a few things that I would've not paired on my own, but turned out amazing. I might have to go back tomorrow.

This is my first time visit Haines. The owner MIKI she is so friendly to every customer. We try some Thai foods here and it’s so traditional Thai flavor 👍 For accommodation is nice and cozy.

Nice spot to grab breakfast - wide variety of pastries (cookies, doughnuts, muffins), along with other classic options (eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, etc.). There's also some Thai options on the menu

The owner Miki works very hard to make this restaurant a great experience for her customers the food is very good the bakery items are excellent. Definitely try the Thai items

I came here excited that they serve thai food in HAINES AK. The lady was polite sitting us but when the shrimp fried rice came out, I was very disappointed. The onions were almost raw and translucent but not sauteed and the rice lacked season. It was more steamed rice with vegetables and shrimp. I also got beef pad thai. Not sure why tomato sauce was put in it. If I wanted spaghetti I would have found a Italian restaurant. Simply put...the Asian food is a no go.

Have been here twice now & the Phanaeng curry was so good I had it both times. Others had the cashew chicken, we shared a couple of their pastries for desert & they were very good. Staff go out of their way to make sure your happy with the food. No liquor, but you can bring your own. Look forward to my next meal here.

The prime place for baked goods and delightful bfast. Get there early. They sell out of bear claws early.

Kind of pricey, but good food. Good customer service and quick. Plenty of seating. Out of the way of busy mai. Street but only a block away if you want to return. Also has coffee and smoothie options.

I love that they have Thai Food available here...and it was even better than what Juneau has to offer for more authentic tastes. Owner was very attentive and friendly. Place was clean and had an amazing selection of things to eat, and to drink too!

Absolutley fabulous, we had the chicken Penang, one mild and one hot, had them as take aways as we were in a nearby motel. So good and flavoursome that I had to write how good they were. We are from New Zealand and travelling around Alaska and Canada and I would say that this is one of the best tasting Thai meals that we have had in our three months of travelling.Call in and get your Thai meal here.

From doughnuts, Mexican, American food, and Thai all in one. They do a good job of making good food. If they narrowed down their menu they could probably make great food. But the diverse menu is what makes this place ideal for family dining.

The Thai is very good. Surprisingly good for such an out of the way place. We highly Recommend it. No beer or wine but you can bring your own and we did!

Yum Yum .... best place to get some veggies in your meal. Really a great Thai restaurant with a very good fresh Bakery to boot. But they serve a wide variety. But love their Ginger Chicken. But they do a lot of yummy dishes. Lunch or Dinner.

I had breakfast here each day that I was in Haines... It is centrally located in town and easy to walk to. The owner was our waitress all three days. The food was very good and all of the pastries and donuts are made fresh. The sourdough is phenomenal. I always felt welcomed when I walked in the door.. there is a wide variety on the menu try the omlet with Sourdough

GREAT! Food was tasty and no artificial canned stuff but the real deal. Baked goods have rich flavor. Super nice owner. Everyone must eat here!

Nice place

Went to Chilkat for lunch with my family when we arrived in Haines. Super accessible location close to the main drag. Ordered American & Thai for takeout and both were ready within 20 minutes, as promised by the very sweet & gracious owner. I had the yellow curry - I ate every last bite and wished there was more! The perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and savory...not bland at all, as some yellow curries tend to be. My husband ordered the Alaska burger, which was nice and juicy, as a good burger should be. The owner & I chatted while I waited for my food and she was incredibly engaging and kind. When my food was ready, she made sure I had everything I would need to bring lunch back to my family at our hotel and even sent me off with donuts for my kiddos for breakfast - top notch service and food! Would definitely recommend.

Nice place. Visited in Nov, so not the peak season. Food is decent and service is good. Small bldg with about a dozen tables. Great place to grab a coffe and pastry before a walk through town.
